Market Basket, 2 Sizes

This Bolga market basket gets its name from the region of Ghana where abundant veta vera grass is woven to create these hardy, useful African baskets.

The small Bolga basket is a very popular size for children, shoppers, busy mothers and picnic planners worldwide. They stand up to use, are practical & sustainable, and remain functional & beautiful for years.

Handwoven in Ghana made from local elephant grass. Each basket is one of a kind, in a unique pattern, and the leather-wrapped handle adds to its durability.

Small: Approximately 11"-13" Across x 10" Tall (plus handle)

Large: 15 -16 inches in Diameter

Reshaping Basket:

Soak basket in water for about 30 seconds or use a water spray bottle. Be sure to keep any leather on the handle free of water. Once wet, let it sit for about 1 full minute to moisten the grass fibers, and then shape with your hands. Set out in the sun if possible, or someplace it can air dry.
